Albion Falls, Hamilton, Ontario

Albion Falls

Hamilton Ontario is home to 100 waterfalls and cascades and known as the “City of Waterfalls“. Albion Falls is one of the prettiest and photogenic in the area with its detailed cascades.

Albion Falls is one of the city’s most recognized and photogenic natural landmarks. With its multi-tiered, curtain-like structure and steady flow throughout the year, it offers an excellent subject for landscape photographers in every season.

This image captures Albion Falls in the peak of autumn, when golden leaves frame the rocky ledges, and warm light filters through the surrounding forest. Shot from a lower vantage point to emphasize the layered drop, this composition balances texture, color, and motion. The long exposure enhances the silky effect of the flowing water while maintaining the rich detail of the rock formations.

Albion Falls is located in the Red Hill Valley area of Hamilton. The viewing platform provides a great overlook, but more compelling photos can be taken from lower angles (be mindful of safety and local guidelines when exploring off-trail).
