Toroweap sunrise in Grand Canyon National Park

Toroweap

Toroweap Overlook is a viewpoint within the Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. It is the narrowest spot of the canyon and in my opinion the most picturesque. It is in a very remote part of Arizona so caution and preparation is required when traveling here. I visited in January when temperatures dip below 0deg C. Coupled with potentially treacherous driving conditions if you experience mud, care is needed because if you were to get stuck, you may not see another person for >24hrs at that time of year! This was indeed the most anticipated sunrise of my life. As the warmth of the morning sun brought my core temperature up and simultaneously lit up the canyon, it was magical, and memory I will never forget.
