The Towers of the Virgin catch first light above a pair of red boulders in this vertical view. Zion offers many amazing photographic opportunities and is one of my favourite National Parks. Unfortunately its a bit over-run with tourists in the high season but I’ve been fortunate to visit in January on multiple occasions with almost nobody there. This cool morning before sunrise, I was the only one staring up at this amazing vista as the sun kissed the top of the range. The peaks of the Towers of the Virgin (from south to northeast) include: The Sundial, The Witch Head, Broken Tooth, Rotten Tooth, Altar of Sacrifice, Meridian Tower, Bee Hive, and The Sentinel.
