Wahweap Hoodoos, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument

Wahweap Hoodoos

The Wahweap Hoodoos are a collection of vertical pinnacles that were formed when different layers of lake bedrock eroded at different rates. The hoodoos are also known as “white ghosts” or “goblins”.
You can hike to the Wahweap Hoodoos along Wahweap Creek, starting at Big Water. The hike is about 4.6 miles long and follows a sandy creek bed.
