This Mono Lake sunrise lights the Sierra Nevada behind a lone tufa tower. Mono Lake is on the east side of Yosemite National Park. While I had visited Yosemite several times, I had never made it to Mono Lake and it was on my bucket list. This tufa was just starting to bask in sun with the Sierra Nevada mountains catching the first rays of golden light. Being a fairly remote area, I had this location all to myself to capture this amazing sunrise.
