This Mono Lake tufa silhouette sits on perfectly still water before sunrise. Mono Lake is on the east side of Yosemite National Park. While I had visited Yosemite several times, I had never made it to Mono Lake and it was on my bucket list. I had seen images of these amazing tufa formations that seemed like endless photographic options. This photo was taken before sunrise and was amazing to experience the stillness of the lake and be there alone watching the sky light up and make this tufa a dark silhouette.
