This lone Jeffrey Pine was made famous by Ansel Adams and a photo that he took way back in 1940. Unfortunately the tree toppled over a couple years after I took this composition. It was perched on top of Sentinel Dome in Yosemite National Park at an elevation of about 8100 feet. An amazing location!
