Bob Ross, the late famous painter with the larger than life afro had this saying, “Happy little accidents”. And that is what this image was. The primary shot I was seeking for this sunset was at the Heart of Santorini. While that was a great composition, as I picked up my tripod and was heading back, there was this beautiful little church that had one of the brightest full moons I have seen rising behind it. As the light was fleeting on the church, I ran across this field to find a framing that placed the moon just to the side of the church and frantically setup my tripod and camera. With a focal length at 300mm the moon was just the right size. This “Happy little accident” ended up been my “keeper” photo that evening.
