This Oia church bell tower caught the last kiss of light above the village. The popularity of Oia sunsets are world renowned. However, that popularity means it’s also super busy and you end up with overcrowding. So you need to plan your sunset experience so you are not disappointed. The main location the crowds flock to is by the Castle of St. Nicholas. That can be seen in the center of this image. Its frankly a circus at sunset, so I opted for this location and target blue hour at the castle when the throngs dissipate back to the cruise ships. This happens to be very close to the location you would frame The Three Domes. I loved how this church bell framed the foreground and got the last kiss of light.
