Charley Young Beach tide pools form a channel of green, moss-covered lava rock in this misty long exposure. I have been to the state of Hawaii about a half dozen times and Kihei Maui is my favourite spot to stay for several reasons; beaches, snorkeling, local vibe, photographic opportunity and more. While Charley Young and Kamaole Beach Park I (and II and III) are super for families with young children, with a little bit of exploration can offer a stunning foreground for those amazing Maui sunsets.
The Charley Young Beach tide pools are just north of Kamaole Beach Park I. For a golden version of this coastline, see Charley Young Beach Sunset.
