Visiting South Coyote Buttes is a remote area in Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness. I was lucky to get one of the permits as the Bureau of Land Management limits visitation. My hiking buddy luckily had a GPS tracker as you could easily get lost hiking to this remote location. The Wave is the main attraction in South Coyote Buttes but there are many other amazing otherworldly compositions including this “small” wave.
