Dead Horse Point State Park is one of the best vistas in Utah. This is a sunrise shot that I took back when I was still using slide film. I was virtually on my own with this amazing view. The parks odd name originated after a legend where cowboys used the point as a natural corral, leaving horses to die of thirst within view of the river below. The park is in San Juan County, Utah, with a dramatic overlook of the Colorado River.
