Campanile di San Marco (St. Mark’s Campanile) is a prominent feature of Piazza San Marco in Venice Italy. Originally built in the 9th century, it is the tallest structure in Venice.
Sometimes inclement weather has a silver lining and produces a dramatic show. That is what happened this evening as the rain was falling just prior to this composition. Lucky for me, it had cleared up just prior to sunset and then put on an amazing light show to complement this famous tower and square!
Another favourite photo of mine taken that evening from a nearby location can be seen here. A very different type of composition from this square can be viewed here.
