As in life, sometimes you just have to get lucky. You get a lot of inclement weather in Iceland. But with that, sometimes you get amazing opportunities that are fleeting moments like this one. I had been photographing Budir church from various compositions when the wind and rain hit, so I took a break in my car. Doing some emails while I waited it to clear, I looked up and saw the brightest rainbow I have ever seen, appear almost instantly. I have never ran and setup my gear that fast! Within another minute, the rainbow was gone. The fleeting moment produced one of my favorite photographs.
