La Perouse Bay is an amazing location for snorkeling in Maui. It is also great for photography with stark, barren lava rocks, bright blue-green ocean, and crashing waves. It is located on the southern coast of Maui in the Ahihi-Kinau Natural Area Reserve. Typically you would not want to do photography on a bright sunny day, but shooting directly down with my drone on these turquoise waters was exactly the lighting that I needed.
